Thank you for visiting nursing-homes.us, a free directory for anyone seeking information on Medicare approved nursing homes. My name is Sheraz, and
I made this site for a number of reasons.
An aging population means that we will need to address changing needs. That includes re-thinking how we publish content online. Unfortunately, many sites have not evolved to meet the needs of those 55 and over. Nursing-homes.us has been designed with this group in mind. We want to learn what is important to seniors and respond accordingly.
Medicare does a heroic job taking care of those in need, but their website could use some help. Fortunately, they publish large amounts of data for public use. We have used one of those data sets, aptly called Medicare Nursing Home Compare, and turned it into something that is more accessible to seniors and less savvy internet users. Our purpose is to offer a set of free tools to help you in selecting the right home for yourself or a loved one.
I built this site to learn more about Search Engine Optimization and web analytics. It is also a chance to build something that is (hopefully) useful and adds value to all the hard work Medicare put into collecting this information.
